About us

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit this site. The Hand and Wrist Institute is a medical practice that diagnoses and treats problems of the wrist and the upper extremities. This medical practice is made up of a team of staff members who work under the supervision of Dr. John Knight, a board-certified orthopedic wrist specialist.

What are some of the conditions that Dr. Knight treats?

Dr. Knight is trained to treat a variety of conditions including: animal bites, arm fractures, hand burns, carpal tunnel syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist sprains, hand tumors, hand infections and elbow fractures. He places emphasis on performing minimally-invasive procedures. Endoscopic carpal tunnel syndrome release and advanced wrist endoscopy are two of the most commonly performed procedures at the Hand and Wrist Institute.
The Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Syndrome release is a ten-minute surgery that is performed to correct carpal tunnel syndrome. It can be done under local anesthetic and only requires a 1 cm incision. Patients can return to their normal activities within 48 hours.
The Advanced Wrist Endoscopy is performed to alleviate complex wrist problems. Dr. Knight will make two small incisions to correct ligament and cartilage injuries. Additionally, Dr. Knight is also trained to perform hand rejuvenation. This procedure helps take years off of the hands, which is one of the most overlooked places in the body.
